In a game between the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox in Boston on April 17, 2015, Baker ejected Orioles starting pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez after a Jimenez pitch hit batter Pablo Sandoval, in what Baker perceived as retaliatory for a slide earlier in the game. No prior warnings had been issued to either team. Jimenez had at that point not yet surrendered a hit in 3 2/3 innings.
